| About Lumoluce |

Lumoluce was founded in 2006 by Lumotech, a company specialized in electronical development and also a manufacturer of semi-finished products. Lumoluce was set up as a specialist subsidiary to exploit the growing demand for energy efficient light sources such as LED lighting. Lumoluce designs and manufactures high quality LED fixtures, LED strips, LED boards, and LED drivers as well as plug-in replacements for less efficient lighting technologies. The success of Lumoluce is based on a strong technical foundation: its immense knowhow related to electronics and other techniques required to create effective, efficient and long-lasting LED lighting solutions. Lumoluce products are therefore conceived, created and manufactured under one roof at its Heerhugowaard headquarters in the Netherlands, from initial sketches to finished end product. Research and Development Technical knowledge is of utmost importance since LEDs are optically and technically, in comparison to traditional lighting, very complex light sources; an issue that is fairly underestimated by many supplying companies. Although LEDs are easily capable to outperform contemporary lighting in terms of efficiency, light quality and lifetime, the construction of an efficient LED lamp is much more complicated in terms of electronics, optics and fixtures when compared to traditional light sources. All components have to be precisely tuned to match with other components to prevent light output reduction. For that matter, precise measurements are crucial. Lumoluce has its own testing facility that makes it possible to analyze and simulate the product's performance. But there is a big difference between measurements (data) and the way light is experienced. Light equals emotions, it has to be experienced. The biggest challenge for Lumoluce is to create a balance between efficiency and a pleasant light experience. The end result of this process is visible in our stylish, efficient LED fixtures with a very uniform light output.
